Membership Levels and Benefits
The Connected Media Experience, Inc. invites all interested companies to join the Standards-Setting Organization (SSO) and participate in developing and promoting the technical standard. The organization offers three categories of membership –- Strategic, Promoter and Adopter -- with different privileges and dues levels.

Important reasons for joining the SSO at any level are:
- To ensure that technologies important to your company are supported in the standard
- To obtain early access to the developing technical standard to streamline your company's product development and time to market
- To influence the standard so as to anticipate technology advances
- To ensure that key features are supported in the standard
Strategic Membership
Strategic members lead and govern the SSO. They determine the direction of standards development and all other activity of the organization. They also fully participate in the committees and working groups.
Benefits include:
- One seat on the Steering Committee
- Voting membership on all committees/working groups
- Eligibility to chair committees/working groups
- Early access to materials in development
Annual dues: $25,000
Promoter Membership
Promoter members play a critical role in ongoing standards development activity by contributing in committees and working groups.
Benefits include:
- Eligibility for election to rotating seat on the Steering Committee
- Voting membership on all committees/working groups
- Eligibility to chair committees/working groups
- Early access to materials in development
Annual dues:
$2,500 to $10,000, depending on size (see the membership application for details)
Adopter Membership
Adopter members do not have voting rights, but they may participate in all working groups as non-voters.
Benefits include:
- Non-voting participation in all committees/working groups
- Early access to materials in development
Annual dues: $1,000-$6,000, depending on size (see the membership application for details)
